Kaizen is a Japanese phrase/word that loosely translates to "change for the better" and is used interchangeably with "continuous improvement".

It's a practice used in the corporate world to implement small, incremental changes over time; however, it can be applied to all aspects of life, not just in business.

Kaizen is a lifestyle.

It's a passionate belief that there is always a simpler, better way. It requires dissatisfaction with the status quo, which results in gradual, continuous improvement.

It's not about perfecting something, it's simply about making it better than it was before.
